Activity 3 - Purpose of advertisements
Using the class collection of advertisements, choose a small collection to discuss in more detail. Discussion could include:
What is the purpose of the advertisement? What does the advertiser hope to achieve?
Who is the target audience? How do we know?
How could the advertisement be changed to appeal to a different audience?
Who will use the product?
What has been included in the advertisement? What information has been left out? Why do you think that is?
What information does the advertiser want you to see as being the most important? How do you know? What information do you think is the most important? How is that information represented in the advertisement?
